Strong shirts
At story hour yesterday, a little boy was wearing a clip-on tie over his t-shirt, and that took me back to around 1980.
My brother Craig, as a toddler, was equally enamoured with the glamor of wearing a tie with a t-shirt. He thought the ties went particularly with a tank top. He called them "strong shirts," because they showed off his muscles, of course. He loved to wear this combo to church. The only rule was that he couldn't wear his "One wild and crazy guy" (hand-me-down from our Californian cousin) strong shirt to church.
